The Outside Agency

True legends of the hardcore scene, The Outside Agency have always had a unique sound of their own, already evident on their first three releases for Mokum Records in the late 90s.

After that period, hardcore had changed drastically: the duo (DJ Hidden & Eye-D) no longer felt they had a place in the genre and decided to focus all their attention on drum & bass instead. In 2001, hardcore underwent yet another transformation, but this time they liked the change and, reinvigorated, began to produce and play hardcore in their sets again.

After a flurry of successful releases on a number of international underground labels such as Black Monolith Records and Otaku Records, the duo decided to set up their own label - Genosha Recordings - which is now recognised as one of the biggest labels in dark underground hardcore. In 2008, they set up ‘Genosha One Seven Five’ for their crossover hardcore and drum & bass content. A third label called ‘Genosha Basic’ was born in 2016 for their Acid and Techno content, and The Outside Agency are currently preparing their fourth label ‘Accelerate Recordings’ for a number of releases in 2024.
