Hungry Beats

Born at the end of 2009, the ‘Hungry Beats’ project is defined by dark, hard music in the Hardcore, Frenchcore, Terror and Gabber tradition. The duo are led by HDG and KRIST_OFF, who met in the Lettek Sound System in 2004.

In 2009, Dave LXR approached HDG about releasing on the Lxrecords label. Dave was soon interested in the Hungry Beats project, and the duo's first release, Lost&Found 02, was born. The two friends went on to set up their own label, Prague Nightmare Records, and released their first EP, Out Of Bounds, which included the hit track Crazy Elisa. Success was not long in coming, and they created a real stir throughout the Czech Republic.

From then on, Hungry Beats redoubled their efforts and barely 6 months later, they released their second EP: ‘Head Crusher (PNR 02)’, which met with worldwide success. This was followed by a booking at the X-Massacre party, a meeting with Sickest Squad (IT) and the plan to make a joint EP with the Italian duo. The wheels were in motion!

The pair went on to develop their label, producing Frazzbass's ‘Bad To The Bone’ and ‘D-Tox / Subversion’. They also remixed the track ‘Soul Vending Machine’.

At the same time, Hungry Beats were approached by several foreign labels, and a few months later they released two EPs on the Low Factory label, followed by numerous offers from labels such as Noistorm (IT), GGM (UK), KARNAGE (FR) and N.E. TUNES (IT). In 2011, together with Astrofonik Production, they founded the ‘Lycanthropy Rec’ and ‘Armory Rec’ labels.

Bookings are pouring in, with regular gigs all over the Czech Republic. Internationally, they've been booked for the genre's leading events, including RAVING NIGHTMARE, WE ARE TOGETHER HARDCORE, E-MISSION, FOOTWORXXX vs. PRSPCT, FRENCHCORE S.IL VOUS PLAIT, THERAPY SESSIONS, X-MASSACRE and IMAGINATON FESTIVAL, to name but a few.
